Joe Barfoot is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker LCSW with over 30 years of experience in therapy with children, adolescents and families. He is originally from the Kansas City area where he was a Supervisor of an adolescent unit at the internationally known Menninger Children’s Hospital in Topeka, Kansas. He graduated from the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Social Work and was the Director of Child & Adolescent Services at Bethesda Hospital in Denver, Colorado. He then was a Clinic Supervisor at Kaiser Permanente’s Highline Mental Health Clinic and later full time working with children and their families.
Joe sees children ages 2-18 and has expertise in the areas of Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, ADHD, Behavioral Disorders, Family Stress & Grief & Loss. He also has a particular interest in the area of technology and impact on children’s social development.
Joe places a lot of emphasis on initial evaluation & assessment and uses a strength based approach to his work with children & families. His overall goal in therapy is to help children & adolescents reach their potential.

Joe Barfoot offers online therapy sessions through scheduled appointments. All Westside providers have access to HIPAA compliant and secure teleconferencing software to protect client privacy. Instructions to access a scheduled session will be sent directly by the provider leading up to the appointment.
