Chloe Chatenever is a licensed professional counselor located in Cherry Creek/Denver. She has worked with clients in a variety of different clinical settings and provides therapy for adults, age 18 and up.

Chloe enjoys working with a wide variety of clients and issues. She has experience supporting clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, anger, relationship challenges, life transitions, personality disorders, and emotional eating. She also has particular interest in working with people who identify themselves as emotionally overcontrolled—using excessive self-control to inhibit emotion, avoid uncertainty, and stay anticipate potential threats, often leading to social isolation and hyper-perfectionism.

Because every client is different, Chloe individualizes the approach she takes to each person’s therapeutic process. She sees her clients as the experts in their own lives, and strives to create a supportive environment in which their inner wisdom and strengths can emerge. Chloe encourages her clients to consider the ways that their thoughts and feelings affect the actions they choose to take—or not take. She helps her clients clarify the elements of their lives that are most important and meaningful so they can make choices that align with their individual values. She draws from a number of different therapeutic methods including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based therapies, and Intuitive Eating.

Chloe believes that addressing mental health often involves engaging the body as well as the mind, and she uses body-based methods to help clients cultivate mindful awareness of their present-moment experiences, generate new insights, and improve self-regulation after experiencing intense emotions.

While therapy can feel like a serious undertaking, Chloe believes that laughter, creativity, and play are also important elements of the healing process. She hopes that her office can be a place where people feel comfortable to experience and express all aspects of who they are.
